Ages 2–3: Early Learners
Between the ages of two and three, children become curious explorers, building independence as they begin to understand the world around them.
Children in this age group develop skills such as:
- Using simple words and forming short sentences
- Following basic one‑step directions
- Beginning early emotional self‑regulation
- Strengthening gross‑motor skills like running and climbing
- Sorting objects, matching colors, and exploring cause‑and‑effect
- Playing near peers and starting simple social interactions

Ages 4–5 (VPK): Pre‑K Thinkers
Children ages 4–5 are developing the confidence, focus, and foundational academic skills needed for a smooth transition into kindergarten. Learning becomes more structured while still being joyful, hands‑on, and rooted in faith.
Children in this age group develop skills such as:
- Recognizing letters, sounds, sight words, and early phonics
- Writing their name and practicing early handwriting skills
- Understanding early math concepts (counting, patterns, simple addition)
- Following multi‑step directions and participating in group learning
- Strengthening fine‑motor skills for writing and classroom tasks
- Building empathy, cooperation, and conflict‑resolution skills
- Showing independence, responsibility, and self‑control
- Growing in confidence, curiosity, and a love for learning
